Harry Baker 047

the power of words

Harry Baker

On this episode, I talk with Harry Baker a full-time poet and the youngest Poetry Grand Slam Champion ever in 2012. Harry has also given a number of TedTalks (ahem 6 to be exact), author of a book of poetry called The Sunshine Kid, maths and science wiz, and (in my opinion) future rapper.

I had an absolutely wonderful time sitting down and chatting with Harry. He has an excellent sense of humour and approaches his work from a very true and heartfelt place. We talk about a lot of things including certainty and uncertainty in career choices, creating for the joy of it, self-doubt, self-acceptance, the power of words and much much more.

We’re also very lucky in the fact that Harry agreed to perform three of his pieces on the podcast. The three pieces being The Scientist and the Bumble Bee, The Sunshine Kid, and 22. All of which I personally LOVE.

I hope you enjoy!
